Louis Vuitton
LVMH exhibition in Bangkok 2024. Each one of them beautiful pieces of art. I would have loved to shoot this on a tripod before it opened to the public.
Red And Yellow
The photos in this post capture a striking interplay of light and shadow, showcasing the intricate details of everyday scenes often overlooked. Each image offers a unique perspective, inviting viewers to ponder the narrative behind the moment frozen in time. The composition cleverly highlights textures and colors, enhancing the visual experience. The use of natural elements in some images contrasts beautifully with urban settings in others, illustrating the harmony between nature and man-made environments. This collection tells a silent story, encouraging reflection on the ordinary through the lens of artistry.
Color is a powerful tool of expression. It can have a deep impact on the viewer.
Portraits Of An Old Man
There he sat, on an old dusty sofa on the sidewalk in front of an old pawn shop. Sitting there, just watching the world. I’m happy I met him.
Dubai Street Photography from 2015
Dubai seems to be an interesting place to shoot street photography. I think the next time I would like to concentrate more on portraiture using medium format.
Dubai street photography from a previous trip in 2015. Re-edited to be more in line with the colors that I now prefer. These were shot using a Fujifilm and the classic chrome film simulation but it has always bothered me that the skin tones always seemed too red. I’ve stopped using this film simulation for a while and do all of my color correcting in post.
It's Just Color
For a while now, I’ve been obsessing about color in my photography. So much so, that for many of my photographs, it is the main thing I have concentrated on.
For a while now, I’ve been obsessing about color in my photography. So much so, that for many of my photographs, it is the main thing I have concentrated on. As many of us do, I have drawn inspiration from who many consider to be the masters or pioneers of color photography. The likes of William Eggelston, Saul Leiter and Ernst Haas amongst others.
An Angel Has Fallen
A few years ago in the beginning stages of my Dancers Project, I was fortunate enough to meet a pole dancer that not only possessed an incredible talent for pole dancing but was also one of the loveliest people I’ve met. She came across as such a gentle and kind soul. She was probably one of the first pole dancers that convinced me that pole dancing is truely an art form and should definetly be an olympic sport.

She came across as such a gentle and kind soul. She was probably one of the first pole dancers that convinced me that pole dancing is truely an art form and should definetly be an olympic sport. We did the photo shoot and I sent her the results shortly after. Since then we went our separate ways and carried on with out lives. I would look at the photos occasionally while putting together my project.
It came as a huge shock and filled me with great sadness when I learned a few years later that she had died. So young and filled with life and energy. This made me question many things in my own life and I will forever be grateful that I had the opportunity to photograph her, to capture her image forever in the way that I saw and knew her.
I’ve been looking at those same photos recently because I am busy redoing my website. My skill level has improved since then and I just had to re-edit the photos of her as I feel that the old ones didn’t do her justice. I think that these photos better represent her grace, beauty, power and sensuality.
Rest well, you are missed.
